High School Maths Mastery is designed for Year 6 students (and Year 7 students who want to fill gaps) to complete the full Year 7 Mathematics curriculum before entering high school. Students arrive at Year 7 already fluent in the content — consistently outperforming their peers from the very first day of high school.
Who this course is for
- Year 6 students who have completed or are completing Selective Test preparation and want to keep their momentum going
- Year 6 students who want to enter high school with a significant academic advantage in mathematics
- Year 7 students who want to fill gaps in their foundational knowledge and get ahead
- Students aiming to eventually study HSC Advanced, Extension 1, or Extension 2 Mathematics
This course is the natural next step for Selective Mastery graduates — it begins from mid-Term 2 of Year 6, aligning with when the Selective Test has been sat and results are awaited.
What you'll cover
Year 6 consolidation
- Number sense, basic algebra, fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurement
- Solidifying foundations before accelerating into Year 7 content
Year 7 Mathematics curriculum
- Integers and directed numbers
- Ratios and rates
- Algebraic expressions and simplification
- Linear equations and their solutions
- Coordinate geometry
- Data analysis and statistics
Problem-solving
- Advanced multi-step problems requiring mathematical reasoning, logical thinking, and creative approaches — developing the skills that define strong high school mathematicians
How classes work
- Class size: Maximum 10 students
- Frequency: Weekly, 10-week terms
- Term start: Mid-Term 2 (when Selective Test results are typically awaited)
In-person option (Parramatta)
- Day/time: Saturday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Duration: 3 hours per session
- Price: $1,050 per term (10 sessions × 3 hrs × $35/hr)
Online option
- Day/time: To be confirmed
- Duration: 2 hours per session (via Zoom with interactive whiteboard)
- Price: $700 per term (10 sessions × 2 hrs × $35/hr)

Starting Year 7 with a full year's worth of mathematics already mastered creates a compounding advantage:
- Year 7: Already fluent — more time for depth and extension work
- Years 8–10: Foundation is solid, enabling earlier access to advanced content
