Reading, Thinking Skills, and Mathematical Reasoning — the three components of the OC Test, taught by 98+ ATAR tutors with age-appropriate methods.
Your child learns to spot bait answers instantly and eliminate them with confidence. Pattern recognition and comprehension strategies tailored for the OC test format.
Pattern recognition, logical sequencing, and abstract reasoning built for younger students. Systematic approaches that turn tricky questions into solvable patterns.
Instant question-type recognition means choosing the simplest method first time. Age-appropriate techniques that build genuine mathematical confidence.
Complete familiarity with timing, interface, and question patterns transforms exam-day nerves into focused execution for your child.
A proven four-step system built for younger students preparing for the OC Test. Every term, every week — measurable progress.
When you enrol, our system guides you through a digital consultation on the student dashboard. We gather information about your child's abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and entry goals to complete their student profile.
This means your child's teacher already understands them before the first class — so teaching is personalised from day one and recommendations are tailored, not generic.
Each session follows a structured rhythm across 10 weeks, alternating between two test combinations so every section of the OC Test is covered deeply.
Students sit at a computer in our testing lab and log into their Test Academy account, ready for the session.
Students complete two timed tests on the platform. These tests are written fresh for each batch and designed to target identified weaknesses while building strong familiarity with known and predicted question types.
Even weeks: The second test is a Mastery Test — a custom assessment that deliberately exposes students to question types they're still struggling with, finetuning their understanding where it matters most.
Students enjoy a break while the tutors do two critical things behind the scenes:
Analyse teaching analytics — identifying which questions students got wrong most often, which questions ate up too much time, and spotting recurring mistakes to iron out.
Print personalised test booklets — each student gets a paper booklet reflecting exactly what they selected, right/wrong answers, time spent per question, and a learning space underneath each question for notes and re-attempts at home.
The teacher leads the review on an interactive whiteboard — breaking down the best approaches, teaching techniques and concepts, and ensuring every student in the small group truly understands how to solve each question type. The personalised booklets double as a take-home learning resource.
The teacher is available to provide feedback directly to parents. They also leave detailed feedback on the student's dashboard and recommend specific mock tests and LearningHub exercises — every recommendation personalised to your child's performance that week.
Every enrolled student gets full access to our online learning platform — plus direct tutor access between sessions through three features that extend learning far beyond the classroom.
Access countless full-length, exam-accurate OC mock tests. Students receive results instantly, step-by-step explanations, and deep analytics — percentiles, timing comparisons, and more.
Addresses the biggest complaint parents have about every other OC tutoring centre: how can we actually practise the weaknesses identified in class? LearningHub allows students to target any specific skill or question type across any section of the OC Test — so practice is always purposeful, never wasted.
Students can post questions directly to their tutor between sessions on the class forum — getting personalised answers from the teacher who taught them. It's another level of ongoing support you won't find anywhere else.
Once per term — at the end of term — you sit down with the tutor for a structured progress review. Between sessions, your parent dashboard shows live score trends, accuracy by section, and time-management improvement week by week. No surprises. No guesswork.
Enrolment includes full access to our online learning platform — packed with tools that extend learning beyond the classroom.
Countless exam-accurate OC mock tests with instant results, step-by-step explanations, percentile rankings, and timing analytics.
Target any specific skill or question type across any section of the OC test. Practice weaknesses identified in class — purposeful, never wasted.
See exactly how your child ranks against the cohort, with school entry projections and scaled percentile scores updated each term.
Most OC coaching centres add content. We change how your child thinks under pressure. That's what moves scores in the NSW OC Test.

"Love the package and the new feature."
"My son is extremely engaged preparing for selective at testacademy and actually looks forward to class. So many places have qualified teachers but his teacher here has the fancy resume and can actually teach complex topics very clearly. Great culture and always feel updated as a parent."
"Hi my son really enjoyed the Holiday crash course at Test Academy, He said that the platform was superb with feedback and teaching method. Thank you"
When you enrol, our system guides you through a digital consultation on the student dashboard. We gather information about your child's strengths, weaknesses, and entry goals to complete their student profile — so that teaching is personalised from day one and we can make better recommendations as teachers.
If your child misses a session, they can attend any other available session that week — simply email us in advance to notify. Depending on availability, they may also be able to join an online session instead.
The Test Academy dashboard is your central hub. Parents can track improvement over time, view deep test analytics including percentiles and timing data, and review personalised teacher feedback after every session.
All tutors are selective high school graduates with a 98+ ATAR who have at least a few years of teaching experience. They are undertaking or have completed Law or STEM degrees at USyd or UNSW.

Yes. During online enrolment, we offer a multi-term discount for families who are committed to ongoing preparation — just as we're committed to helping your child thrive.
Returning students who re-enrol for non-multi-term courses receive a 5% discount — permanently. Once you're part of the Test Academy family, you're always looked after.
Yes. A 5% sibling discount is provided upon request when two or more students from the same family are joining, or if an existing sibling is already enrolled with us.
That's great — they're already getting support, which is the most important thing. Many of our students actually come from other tutoring centres when they're looking for something more tailored, better technology and student engagement, and more personalised attention from top-quality teachers.
Ideally from Term 1 or Term 2 of Year 3. That said, we regularly help students make significant jumps in marks across all sections with just one term of preparation.
We offer a free first session subject to availability. That said, most parents commit knowing they can leave within the first two weeks — and almost all end up staying.
Just stationery, a snack, and water. Everything else — from printed booklets and worksheets to computers — is provided by us. We don't do BYOD.
Since the OC Test doesn't have a writing section, we replace it with a Mastery Test — a custom assessment that deliberately exposes students to question types they're still struggling with. This targeted approach finetunes their understanding and accelerates improvement where it matters most.
