What to expect in a FlexiClass session

1 min read Updated April 2026

Each FlexiClass session runs for one hour via video conferencing. Here's what to expect.

Before the session

  • You'll receive a meeting link in your booking confirmation email.
  • Your tutor will review your focus topic and prepare materials accordingly.
  • Log in to the video call a few minutes early.

During the session

  • Your tutor will introduce themselves and confirm the focus area.
  • Sessions may include worked examples, practice questions, writing feedback, concept explanations, or exam technique discussion — tailored to your topic.
  • Ask questions at any time throughout.

Getting the most from each session

  • Be specific with your focus topic. "Ratios in Year 6 Maths" gets better results than "Maths help."
  • Bring recent test results. Tell your tutor which questions you found difficult — they can work through them with you.
  • Have paper and a pen ready for working through problems.
  • Ask follow-up questions. If an explanation isn't clear, ask for another approach.

After the session

Your tutor may leave notes or recommendations in your dashboard. Check your dashboard after the session for any feedback.

Session recording

Sessions are not recorded by Test Academy by default. If you'd like to record for personal study purposes, discuss it with your tutor at the start of the session.
