The ACST (Australian Computerised Selective Trial) is a full-length mock selective exam run by Test Academy under timed, supervised conditions. It's designed for students preparing for the NSW Selective High School Placement Test.
ACST Portal
Access the ACST portal at Dashboard → ACST Portal. From there you can view upcoming sessions, book a spot, and access your results after the event.
Booking a session
- Go to the ACST Portal and view upcoming sessions.
- Each session shows its date, time, location (e.g. "Test Academy, Parramatta"), price, and available spots.
- Click Book Now to go to the Stripe checkout page.
- Pay the session fee. Your booking is confirmed and you receive a booking reference (e.g. ACST-4827).
Session capacity
Sessions have a maximum capacity (typically 30 students). The portal shows how many spots remain. Sessions cannot be double-booked — you can only hold one booking per session.
On the day
Once your booking is confirmed, you'll have access to the test on the day of the event. Your ACST portal will show a Start Test button when the session is active.
Results
After the event, results are published through your ACST portal. Results include your score, a percentile ranking, and a school-entry prediction showing which NSW selective schools you may be competitive for, based on entry data.
Selective schools are grouped into tiers:
- Tier 1 — Top 5 (Extremely Competitive)
- Tier 2 — Top 15 (Highly Competitive)
- Tier 3 — Top 30 (Competitive)
- Tier 4 — Top 50 (Moderately Competitive)
Cancelling a booking
Contact support to request a cancellation. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel.
Unverified email
If your email isn't verified, you'll see an Action Required: Verify Your Email notice in the ACST portal. Verify your email to access all features. See Verifying your email address for instructions.
